LCCAA Welcomes Client Services Coordinator

posted 4/4/19 -- LCCAA welcomes Client Services Coordinator Colette Park.

Colette will coordinate LCCAA’s By Car, Tech Connect and Community Connections programs.

She replaces Robert McDonald who retired March 30 after serving the agency since 2015. Colette will also take over teaching Financial Literacy classes which are required for By Car participants and offered through LCCAA’s role in the WE3 collaborative.

Under Bob McDonald, the financial classes helped many throughout Lorain County according to Frank Prihoda, Planning and Community Services Director.

“He has been a significant contributor in working with our collaborative partnerships,” Prihoda added.

Colette is very familiar with WE3, Women Empowered, Educated and Employed. She comes to LCCAA from Oberlin Community Services where she served as a Program Coordinator and liaison with WE3. She also participated in one of LCCAA’s first Getting Ahead classes.

“Getting Ahead really awakens you to your own world and who is on your side and who is not,” she said.

As a single mother of two, Colette said her work with the WE3 collaborative was very meaningful. She recently received her associate’s degree and plans to continue her education this fall.
