OHFA Programs to Change at Year End

posted 12/7/23 -- Utility Assistance for homeowners through the Ohio Housing Finance Agency will come to an end Dec. 30.

The Save the Dream Ohio – Utility Assistance program is separate from LCCAA’s other Energy Services programs for those living at or below 175% of the federal poverty level.

The Save the Dream program provides help for non-mortgage expenses to homeowners living at or below $147,600 annually for a family of four.

Assistance from OHFA for property taxes only will remain available through April 2024.

To qualify, the home must be a primary residence and the owner must have experienced hardship or loss of income due to COVID-19.

In 2023, 146 households were helped with a total of $344,388, mostly for property taxes.
