LCCAA CLOSED JANUARY 6 AND 7 DUE TO EXTREME WEATHERposted 1/6/14 -- While intending to remain open, Lorain County Community Action Agency announced early this morning that the agency will be closed on Monday, January 6 and Tuesday, January 7 due to forecasted dangerous weather conditions. Icy surface conditions and artic cold make travel unadvised. No staff are to report to work. The agency will reopen at 8:00AM on Wednesday, January 8.

HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM and PIPP PLUS
All appointments are cancelled. Clients that provided a working phone number will be contacted starting on Wednesday to begin rescheduling appointments. Walk-in appointments are available on Wednesday. General questions are directed to Ohio’s toll-free HEAP line, 1-800-282-0880.
EARLY HEAD START
Classrooms at all centers will be closed and home visits are cancelled.
In-service training for staff is cancelled until Wednesday. Staff scheduled to report to Hamilton Head Start for training on Monday should report to Hamilton Head Start on Wednesday.
HOME WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Appointments are cancelled. Weatherization staff will begin rescheduling appointments on Wednesday.
The January 7 class is cancelled. A makeup day will be rescheduled.
EMERGENCY HOME REPAIR
The program is currently out of funding and is not accepting new applications at this time. Messages left at (440) 204-3155 will be returned when offices reopen on Wednesday.
