The Summer Crisis Program provides assistance once per season to eligible households. You must secure an appointment to apply for this emergency program.
Please note: In 2026 utility companies are NOT required to hold your disconnect while waiting for your appointment.
To qualify for help, households must be living at or below 175% of the Federal Poverty Line ($57,750 for a family of four in 2026). They must also meet one of the following criteria:

Residents who have not received an air conditioner from LCCAA in the last three years can request a unit. Electric box fans will also be distributed. Residents who have received air conditioners in the past three years may be eligible for a fan.
Distribution of air conditioners and fans will be subject to availability. Residents approved for an air conditioner or fan must retrieve it within 10 days.
