Lorain County Community action Agency (LCCAA)’s By Car program assists eligible participants with the purchase of a vehicle for transportation to work or school.

By Car matches savings from earned income at a rate of $3 for every $1 saved (up to $6,000).

Applicants must live at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, be 18 or older and either working, participating in a verifiable job search or enrolled in school. 

No one in the household can own a vehicle. A financial class is required.
