Early Head Start Celebrates 25 Years

posted 5/18/20 -- Happy birthday, Early Head Start!

This year, the Office of Head Start is celebrating 25 years of providing family-centered services to pregnant women, infants and toddlers.

LCCAA's EHS program serves 40 families. Children receive up to 40 hours each week of care and instruction. Early Head Start serves children from birth to age 3 as well as providing support to pregnant women.

Since 1995, the EHS program has improved child and family outcomes through comprehensive services. These services support the role of parents, develop parent-child relationships, and improve family self-sufficiency.
