Youth Build Bunk Beds for Kids in Need

posted 10/2/18 -- Last weekend, participants in LCCAA's Youth Services Program continued their stellar track record of community service in a new, restful way.

The youth spent Saturday at Lowe's in Elyria working with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, an organization that builds beds for children in need.

According to Lorain County Chapter President Roger Dorsey, Saturday's work resulted in 60 beds, 37 of which were already on their way to children throughout Lorain County. Dorsey added that the organization's biggest need is for mattresses to complete the beds.

Donors can sponsor an entire set of bunk beds ($300), a mattress ($50) or a pillow ($10)by clicking here.
