Agency Mourns Long Time Attorney

posted 7/21/22 -- LCCAA extends its deepest condolences to the family of our friend Ken Stumphauzer.

As a local attorney, Stumphauzer represented LCCAA for decades with urgency and humility.

“Ken was an advocate for the agency and the people we serve going back to the 1990s,” said President and CEO Jackie Boehnlein. “He negotiated numerous labor contracts on our behalf with a mix of knowledge, skill and humor that was something to behold.”

Stumphauzer’s interest in the agency went beyond legal help, Boehnlein added.

“He loved hearing about people being helped and how the children in Head Start were growing and learning,” she said. “When called on, his answer was always ‘tell me what you need’. He left us and our community all better for knowing him.”

Stumphauzer was also a Vietnam veteran and served as law director for several local communities. He died July 17 after a battle with cancer. Services were held July 23. For a full obituary and more tributes, click here.
