Kits Keep Learning Going

posted 6/22/21 -- All LCCAA Head Start families were sent home for the summer with a free Summer Learning Kit.

Two different kits were distributed, one for children going to kindergarten in the fall and one for children returning to Head Start.

The kits include learning tools designed to help teach numbers, counting, alphabet skills, colors and shapes, fine motor skills and more.

Each kit has more than 60 activities. The preschool box helps develop letter and number recognition and color identification. The kindergarten box develops counting, addition and subtraction, and word building skills.

Adelin Foisy, who attended LCCAA’s Head Start classroom at Garfield Elementary in Lorain, is pictured with one of the kindergarten kits. Mom, Meghan Foisy said Adelin was so excited to get the summer learning kit and loves it. Adelin will be going to kindergarten in the fall.
