Elyria Man No Longer On Foot

posted 10/5/20 -- Alonzo Banks won’t be late for work or appointments now that he has a new-to-him Chevy Malibu.

Alonzo, of Elyria, completed his BYCar program with LCCAA just as government and many offices shut down in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was ready to get his car, but needed a new driver’s license.

“He called every month to see if he was still eligible,” said Client Services Supervisor Colette Park. “He really is a model participant.”

In July, when the Bureau of Motor Vehicles reopened, Alonzo got his license. On Aug. 21, he purchased his Chevy Malibu from Center Road Auto.

“I will and can be on time for appointments,” he said, recommending the program. “Take advantage of this program. It is great. Mrs. Colette was wonderful!
