Getting Ahead Classes Forming Online

posted 9/2/20 -- Get empowered to get ahead with LCCAA’s online Getting Ahead classes. Two new classes are forming with the now proven online model.

"It was a very easy transition going from in person to online," said Client Services Coordinator and Getting Ahead facilitator Amy Steele, noting that recently graduated participants seemed more relaxed tuning in from their own homes.

In Getting Ahead participants find strengths, learn skills to become financially secure and work toward personal goals. This workshop helps individuals living in poverty build their resources for a more prosperous life for themselves, their families and their communities.

The online classes also feature a new component that has proven helpful to participants. They can join a private Facebook group to share insights they have between classes or opportunities they find that might help one another.
