Head Start Adds Technology Specialist

posted 7/29/20 -- LCCAA Head Start has created a new specialist position dedicated to ensuring technology in the program operates efficiently and effectively.

Tosha Craighead, previously employed as Data Systems Manager, has been promoted to Data and Integration Specialist.

“As we have found out with COVID-19, data and technology have become a huge part of our program,” said Head Start Director Shauna Matelski, Ed.D. “This is very exciting to have all our service areas well-covered with experienced staff.”

During the COVID-19 crisis, Craighead has been working to create contactless systems for enrollment and the many documents Head Start collects from parents. She is also creating a contactless system for monitoring attendance which will include bar coded ID cards for students. Additionally, using GSuite programs, each Head Start family will be assigned an email address that staff can use to communicate with parents.

“I’m very excited to learn new things and keep moving the program forward,” Craighead said.

Craighead has been employed at LCCAA since 2013 first as a Family Service Worker and later as an Early Head Start Home Visitor before becoming the Data Systems Manager. She has double master’s degrees in public administration and is a native to Lorain County.
