Wild About Events Draw Crowds

posted 3/30/19 -- LCCAA Head Start families showed they are Wild About Health and Nutrition at two events last week.

"Kids were learning and having fun, parents received local resource information, vendors were thankful for the exposure, and staff were engaged," said Stefanie Drew, Family, Health and Community Services Specialist. "Families were represented from EECV, Wellington, Griswold, Cascade, Home Based, Hopkins Locke, and Firelands."

In all, both events drew approximately 240 people. Participating community partners included Buckeye Health, Caresource, Elyria Public Library, Lorain Metropolitan Housing Authority, Cuyahoga Health Access Partners, Mercy Resource Mothers, NAMI Lorain County and more.

Head Start "Wild About" events provide opportunities for students and their families to participate in activities related to specific learning objectives.
