Youth Seeking Projects for Senior Service Day

posted 1/26/19 -- Lorain County Community Action Agency and Lorain City Schools will deploy hundreds of teens to serve the community in the second annual Senior Service Day on Wednesday, February 20.

"We send our senior class throughout Lorain County to help feed the hungry, assist the underserved, entertain the elderly and support charitable agencies who can benefit from our brains, brawn and hearts," said LCCAA Youth Services Coordinator Bobby Taylor.

Taylor and LCS are now accepting requests from throughout the county for help from the 400 students who will participate. Agencies need to host at least 10 students who will be properly chaperoned.

Students will leave from Lorain High School at 9:30 a.m. The community partners should expect the students to arrive between 9:45 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. and depart their agency between 1:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.

If your organization has a project for the students, email Taylor at [email protected] the following information: Agency Name, Agency Website, Number of Students Needed (at least 10), Location, Project Details and your Mission Statement.

The deadline for submitting projects is February 1.
