Next Tech Connect Class Begins May 14

posted 4/10/18 -- LCCAA's next Tech Connect Class in partnership with Ohio Means Jobs Lorain County begins May 14. The class is designed to improve employment options by improving participants' computer skills.

“The Tech Connect program is in demand at the OMJLC center,” said JoLyn Gonzales who manages the center. “This partnership has worked out very well in that Tech Connect has provided the instruction while OMJLC job seekers are able to attend at the facility and location they are most familiar with.”

Participants will learn Windows, Microsoft Office and how to apply for jobs online. The free class is limited to eight people who will receive a free, refurbished computer upon completion.

To be eligible for the class, participants must live at or below 125% of the Federal Poverty Line and complete an intake assessment and other requirements with Ohio Means Jobs.

The classes will be held at Ohio Means Jobs Lorain County, 42495 North Ridge Road, Elyria from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the following dates: May 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23 and 24.

LCCAA Client Services Coordinator Bob McDonald will be at Ohio Means Jobs to enroll participants from 10 a.m. to noon on the following dates: May 1, 8 and 10.
