Central Plaza Classrooms Open Dec. 7

posted 12/1/22 -- LCCAA’s Central Plaza will welcome its first students beginning Dec. 7.

The building, where Head Start administrators relocated earlier this year, includes three classrooms that will be operated in partnership with Lorain City Schools. Each classroom can accommodate as many as 20 students.

The 24,000-square-foot building, which formerly housed a Chase Bank branch and offices, was built at the beginning of the 20th century. The site has been a hub of activity in Lorain throughout the community’s history.

The pillars in front of the building are from the Penfield Avenue Savings Bank built in 1895.
