Rent Assistance Reopening Dec. 7

posted 11/30/20 -- LCCAA’s Rent Assistance Program funded by the Home Relief Grant will reopen for new applications Monday, Dec. 7 at 8 a.m.

A limited number of additional applications will be taken and residents are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Residents who have already applied for the program do not need to apply again.

To be eligible, you must be past due on your rent due to COVID-19 and you must live at or below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Level.

Home Relief Grant funds must be expended by Dec. 30. However, LCCAA expects to continue offering rental assistance into 2021 thanks to the recently received grant from Lorain County Commissioners.

“We know our community includes many, many renters who are behind and frightened,” said LCCAA CEO Jackie Boehnlein. “We are committed to helping as many people as possible as quickly as possible.”

No application materials can be accepted before 8 a.m. on Dec. 7. Phone calls are not being accepted. Temporary employees have been trained and all applicants will receive a call from a 440 number as soon as possible.
