Head Start Enrolling, New Procedures Announced

posted 6/22/20 -- Head Start is now enrolling for 2020-2021.

Our centers will look and operate differently this fall. In accordance with Responsible Restart Ohio, our centers will use:

  • Reduced class sizes to meet State of Ohio mandates.
  • Curbside drop-off and pick-up.
  • Temperature checks and health screenings for all children and adults, including staff.
  • Hand washing for children upon arrival and before departure.

Parents, guests and visitors will be restricted to the lobby only at our centers and all adults will be required to wear face coverings. Children will be scanned in and out using a new ID system that eliminates the need for daily manual signatures. A dedicated staff member will escort children into and out of the facility each day.

Additionally, common areas will not be shared by multiple classes at the same time and a rigorous sanitizing schedule will be in place for all common areas, classrooms and classroom materials.

Parents can begin the enrollment process by completing the short application on our website. A staff member will follow up regarding documentation and additional forms. Processes are being created to allow for electronic submission of forms in order to minimize contact.
