Youth Learn Workplace Skills

posted 8/3/18 -- LCCAA's Youth Services Program has lined up a series of activities for participating young men and women to build job skills and provide service to the community.

Last week, the youths heard from Cathie Leimbach with Agon Leadership about Appreciation at Work.

"Workplace productivity is directly proportional to job satisfaction," Leimbach said.

She presented the Five Languages of Appreciation as found in the book by Gary Chapman and Paul White.

"Community service is the cornerstone of our program and I tell the youths that they may not always receive a 'thank you' or feel appreciated by those we serve," said Bobby Taylor, Youth Services Coordinator for LCCAA. "I look forward to seeing how our youths will apply what they learned both professionally and personally."
