Lack of transportation has kept Jessa’lyn Milton from accepting job offers in her field.

That’s about to change thanks to her purchase of a 2013 Ford Explorer through the By Car program.

LCCAA partners with OhioMeansJobs Lorain County to match savings so participants can purchase a quality used car.

By Car matches earned income at a rate of $3 for every $1 saved. Participants must be active in OhioMeansJobs programs and also take a financial class through LCCAA.

Jessa’lyn, who currently works at Wal-Mart, looks forward to accepting a position in the marketing field soon.
