Congratulations to Isabel Rivera, the proud owner of her first car!

Isabel purchased the 2010 Lincoln MKZ thanks to the Lorain County Community Action Agency By Car program.

“This weekend, I’m finally able to take it back to Columbus where I attend the Ohio State University,” she said. “I’m on a pre-med track so having this car is such a blessing. I’m heading into my senior year and this summer I’ll be using the car to drive to shadowing opportunities with doctors and physicians.”

Isabel’s first drive was home! She said she was excited and nervous and is looking forward to exploring Columbus more and no longer asking for rides from friends and families.

The By Car program matches earned income at a rate of $3 to $1 and can also provide insurance.
