New HEAP Office Opens at 401 Broadway on 11/8posted 11/7/12 -- One week ago severe wind and water damage brought by Superstorm Sandy closed LCCAA’s Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) office located at 404 Broadway in Downtown Lorain. After opening a temporary office with limited service, the program is permanently re-opening at 401 Broadway tomorrow. The new office is directly across the street from our previous location. The new office is fully functional allowing full-service appointments, including reconnection applications, to resume tomorrow.
“The frost on the ground this morning served as one more reminder that our HEAP program is vital to the community,” states Jackie Boehnlein, President & CEO. “We pushed to reopen so that we can help Percent of Income Plan Plus (PIPP Plus) clients re-verify for the program and also reconnect HEAP clients currently without heat.”
The move to the new office at 401 Broadway has required the coordinated efforts of many. Across the board, as we reached out for help, we were met with kindness, assistance and a shared sense of urgency. The Agency extends a sincere “thank you” to the following…
Ohio Development Services Agency, Office of Community Assistance
Public Utilities Commission of Ohio
Columbia Gas of Ohio
Lorain County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services
The Stocker Foundation
Horizon Activity Centers
Lee Anderson Computing
Protective Zone Security Systems
