Hamilton Head Start Will Relocate This Summerposted 4/10/17 -- The Lorain County Community Action Agency will hold a community meeting on April 13 at our Hamilton Head Start Center, 1215 Middle Avenue, Elyria at 5:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public. Discussion will focus on both short-term and long-term planning related to the pending closure of the Hamilton Head Start Center to make way for a new elementary school.
Options for Head Start services in Elyria currently include a center-based option, home-based services, and collaborative classrooms in Elyria City Schools and Horizons. Only center-based services, at our Hamilton location, will see changes next school year. Relocation plans will be discussed at the meeting.
The meeting will follow a town hall format, including a question and answer session. Community feedback is welcomed.
It has been LCCAA’s privilege to maintain and operate out of the Hamilton school for several decades. Through the years the center has been the cornerstone of our services for Elyria and South Elyria. We remain committed to continuing to meet needs, help people, and change lives.
