LCCAA Partners with Food Pantries Countywide

posted 10/25/16 -- LCCAA named its 2016 food pantry partners last week, increasing the number of pantries from past years.

For the fourth consecutive year, LCCAA will provide funding to area food pantries to assist with increased demand in the months of November and December. A total of 31 pantries were selected.

Funding is provided on a reimbursement basis and is for the sole purpose of purchasing food and grocery items (edible and inedible). Partners selected all distribute food to clients living at or below 125% of the federal poverty line and conduct monthly reporting.

Grants are approximately $800 per partner. For a complete list, click the link below.

The food pantry partnerships began in 2013 in response to cuts in the federal food stamp program that remain in place today.
