Making a Difference

The Lorain County Community Action Agency (LCCAA) has been making a positive difference in our county since it was incorporated in 1966. LCCAA is committed to improving the social well-being, economic capacity and opportunities for low- to moderate-income individuals and families.

In the past year, 18,000 Lorain County Residents received assistance from the programs of Lorain County Community Action Agency. LCCAA programs include Head Start and Early Head Start, HUD-certified housing services, utility assistance including Home Energy Assistance Program and Percent of Income Payment Plan Plus, home ownership and rental training, foreclosure counseling, financial literacy training, the Home Weatherization Assistance Program, food pantry partnerships, emergency home repair, senior services, and work skills development and training.

LCCAA's 44th Annual Luncheon is October 15, 2011

The Lorain County Community Action Agency (LCCAA) will host its 44th Annual Celebration and Awards Luncheon on Saturday, October 15, at Deluca’s in the Park, 6075 Middle Ridge Road, Lorain, Ohio. Head Start Reaches Full Enrollment for Fall 2011

Head Start Early Childhood Education Program

The Head Start program provides comprehensive child development services to economically disadvantaged children and families, with a special focus on helping preschoolers develop the early reading and math skills they need to be successful in school.
