Bi-Lingual Advance Directive & Living Will Initiative

Senior Services provides bi-lingual advance directive and living will workshops.  The program will assist seniors execute necessary documents relative to their end of life decisions, in a non-threatening, yet informative manner.  LCCAA Senior Services conducts workshops at local senior centers and senior housing communities.  All low income aged residents of Lorain County are eligible to receive information and Living Will documents at no cost.  If you are interested in participating in this initiative, please contact Holly L. Money Savvy Seniors

In collaboration with our Housing Department, Seniors Services offers “Money Savvy Seniors.” This program offers financial training and education to senior citizens in the areas of budgeting, simple costs savings, identity thief, and frugal spending. Programs are held at senior centers and senior communities.

 

Ohio Benefits Bank

In keeping with the vision of the Governor’s Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, LCCAA Senior Services provides access to Ohio Benefit Bank—a web based program that connects you to public benefits. We provide trained OBB Counselors that help determine your eligibility, and assist in your application for benefits such as food assistance, Medicare Rx Extra Help, and Medicare savings programs.

 

Seniors.com

LCCAA Senior Services and the Community Learning & Technology Center have partnered together to offer Seniors.Com. This program offers computer classes to seniors with a focus on Internet usage, basic word processing and social networking sites. Classes are held at various senior centers and senior communities.
